Special Events

Mansfield Amateur Radio Society did take part in a number of ‘Special Events’
including “International Museums on the Air”

We have used Papplewick Pumping Station for this event
usually operating on the HF bands, on 80 & 40 Mtrs
using the ‘special events’ call sign GB2PPS

View of the Stable block at Papplewick, the forge we use is the first room next to the chimney.

The G5RV antenna centre is supported by the lamp fitting on the face of the chimney and the two wire ends run parallel to the stable block and to the left.
